Leaving today. It was an alright visit. I certainly greatly enjoyed staying at Jim's place, playing with his great dog Chessie and watching squirrels. Of course horses and the time spent in Lois' farm were wonderful. But the need to go everywhere by car... consumerism, etc. That got a bit tiring.
Went to Washington. Saw some museums. I loved the Natural Science museum, the have some cool bugs there.
Had some food in Georgetown in a pasta and sushi place -- yum, tasty.
Went for a trek up the mountain with Martijn, Pamela and their kids. Had some strange weather -- it started to snow quite heavily after we just finished lunch but completely cleared up again by the time we started our trek. Han some great time.
Spent the whole day with Lois (the owner of The Tamarack stables). Had fun, was riding El Munchkin again. Before that I was grooming Gitana. She was about to foal at the time, so a bit moody and jumpy, but very nice nevertheless.
For the first time in my life I saw a cardinal -- bright red smallish bird and a blue jay, nice brightly blue a little bigger bird. There vere swarms of cardinals around Lois' farm.
Went to a historical american small town. Had tea in hats, weird :)
Got to ride an andalusian! I'm happy. Will go the the same place on Thursday if the weather is not too crappy.
Tomorrow going to the States. Slightly nervous. I hope the imigration people will be nice...
Just got back from Brussels. It was nice and relaxing. The New Year celebration was something of an anticlimax, but I don't regret that in the least.
Am I growing old or something?
